Jain International Doctors Federation (JDF)

The Jain Doctors’ Federation, formed in 1998, has been doing fabulous work since its inception, having  held major conferences, leadership workshops, medical camps and felicitations of doctors who have made a significant contribution to the society. In the last decade, JDF has established its chapters in various prominent cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Jamnagar, Pune, Aurangabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Vapi, Rajkot, Jalgaon, Mehsana, Baramati, Nashik, Sangli, Malegaon, New Delhi and Bhopal among others.

JDF today has a membership of 15,000 doctors across India and the membership is growing. All these chapters are doing excellent work towards social cause. The National Chairman Dr Kewal Jain is confident that in the coming years, JDF will be able to network amongst Jain doctors and hospitals all over the country. Data on doctors and hospitals in different parts of the country is being collected. Mumbai JDF, in association with JITO, has launched a programme called "Shraman Arogyam", to give cashless prompt & quality medical treatment in various forms of treatment to all 12,500 Jain Sadhus and Saddhvis irrespective of sects. Medical camps and cataract surgeries have been carried out on Jain Sadhus and Sadhvis by JDF members. JDF aims to serve the poor and needy people for quality health, irrespective of their caste, creed, political opinion and religion.

Among the other aims of JDF are promotion of holistic health education and health care; promotion of scientific research and medical education based on principles of Jain philosophy; promotion of animal welfare and prevention of cruelty towards them in connection with research, manufacturing and testing of medicines; promotion of vegetarianism and non-violence, compassion and world peace. JDF has been in the forefront in organising medical camps and relief work in the times of natural calamities like floods in Mumbai and Surat and earthquake in Kutch and Ahmedabad. The JDF has also organised diabetes awareness programmes and camps, awareness programmes on vegetarianism and has promoted research work in Ahinsak Chikitsa. With the help and assistance of JITO, JIYO and JIWO,
JDF will soon launch Yuva Sanskar Shibirs, a project primarily aimed at character building of youth.

The organisation will have a close liaison with other NGOs and government departments for fulfilling its objectives.

Jain Chartered Accountants Federation (JCAF) & Jain Advocates Federation (JAF), dream child of several Guru Maharaj has taken shape, and is now known amongst all Jain members as a body which provides services beneficial for all the Jains across the globe. Started 4 years ago now JCAF & JAF together connect almost 2500 Jain professionals around the world.

Within a span of four years JCAF & JAF has established a strong network and is providing valuable suggestions on economic, financial & legal matters. Jain International Youth Organization

JIYO is being formed with a vision of empowering youth in social, economic, administrative and political fields and to enhance their self-esteem and self-reliance. The main objective of JIYO is to work towards a strong support base for Jain Youth. It will also help JITO in implementing its various programs and at the same time, learn the principles of management, networking and behavioural science. JIYO members would be able to make use of the networking to improve and enhance their career and/or business prospects. JIYO will be the right platform for Jain youth to gain proper vision and perspective to meet the fast changing global challenges. JIYO will bring about awareness amongst youth relating to various socio-economic, political and cultural issues.

The youth organisation will assist JITO Employment Assistance program (JEAP) which will have a good data bank of Jain job aspirants. As a part of this activity, it will hold seminars on employee-employer responsibilities and to sharpen the management skills and to develop the personalities of the youth. Jain youth will be helped out with legal and social matters through a legal aid cell that would be set up by JIYO. The education cell of JIYO will give career guidance, scholarships and financial support to Jain youth. It will create awareness about information Technology and will conduct workshops on education. Health camps, blood donation camps, health awareness camps and yoga camps would be among the activities of the medical cell.

The cultural cell will form a cultural troupe which shall represent JIYO at national and international level to depict Jain culture. Cultural events like music, dance, drama and fashion show; youth festivals, debates, elocution competitions and conventions will be organised by the cultural cell of JIYO. JIYO shall institute national awards for young Jain achievers every year in various fields of activity. Road shows, street plays and public awareness programs would be held on Mahavir Jayanti and at the time of celebrating other Jain festivals.

Jains cannot stay away from their social obligation since that is part of the culture. JIYO will send volunteers to help during natural calamities like earthquake and floods. JIYO will encourage young writers and poets amongst Jains. It will also prepare TV programs depicting Jain culture and art, music, dance, lifestyle, food, Jain temples, sculptures, as well as success stories of renowned Jain personalities in different fields. Printed and audio-visual material on Jainism and Jain values would be published by JIYO.
